So, it has almost become a fact that Leo Messi is the GOAT. I, as a CR7 fan, can't even argue about this because as everyone knows, Messi won the World cup and took the trophy home. Today I have shortlisted some reasons why CR7 is the GOAT.

#1 -The king of the champions league

Ronaldo undoubtedly is one of the best players to ever take part in the competition. He has got the most appearances(183), goals(140) and assists(42). He has played in the UCL almost every year of his professional career except for this year. He has won the UCL five times, with one time with United and four times with the Los Blancos.

#2- Record goal-scorer

Ronaldo has scored many goals throughout his career, and he holds a record for that as well. He is the leading international scorer with 118 goals in 191 games and still counting. He has also scored more than 800 goals at the club level and is the top scorer in men's football history.

#3- He has played in all the major leagues, and performed well

CR7, as we all know has played in the Premier League, la Liga, Serie A and the Liga NOS, or the Premiera liga. He has scored in the Premier League 103 times, and assisted 39 times in 236 appearances. He has had 292 appearances in La Liga, scoring 311 times and assisting 95 times. He has a further 98 appearances in the Serie A, scoring 81 times and assisting 17 times. Stats of a true GOAT!
